M-Tac paracord 550 type III is a nylon cord consisting of an outer braid (a large number of interwoven fibers) and a core (several nylon threads interwoven), which ensure its strength and light weight.
Paracord or cord is a parachute cord, derived from parachute slings, which were actively used by paratroopers after landing during the Second World War.
Due to its universal characteristics (light, flexible, strong, multi-purpose), paracord has become popular among both the military and civilians.
